SMW-3 - Kuala Lumpur 2003

After SMW-3 meeting in Langkawi in April 2003, hosted by Malaysia Telekom, I managed to make a short tour in Kuala Lumpur in the way back home. Here some photos I took there.

My friends from Nigeria Telecom at KL's very nice airport, waiting for Lagos flight.

Petronas Twin Towers and some views of the city and surrounding hills from Menara Kuala Lumpur, or KL tower, 421 meter high.

A detail of a roof viewed from top of KL tower.

An open air swimming pool in the middle of one building viewed from top of KL tower.

A snake charmer struggling for survival, selling some home made medicine in a street market in Jalan Petaling, the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Center's Chinatown.

A young couple in Central Market, a favourite hangout for KL's youth.

The Moorish-inspired Sultan Abdul Samad Building. It was the former colonial administrative centre and it was constructed between 1894-1897.

Detail of the Palace's tower.
Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square), city's historic centre, with a view of Dayabumi Complex building that was for a long time the KL landmark and some views of same street Jalan Raja Laut.

Royal Salengor Club's cricket field, built in 1884, facing Sultan Abdul Samad Building.
