MEDRET - Rabat 1989
La Tour Hassan hotel was the Medret meeting place hosted by ONPT, Maroc.
We had a chance to visit also la Cistérne Portugaise, filmed by Orson Welles for "Othelo" production in 1949. (photo from Al Jadida site)
In the way to Al Jadida, we visited the Hassan II mosque under construction, in Casablanca. It was build on the water, because of the Islamic belief that the throne of God rests on water. It was designed by the French architect, Michel Pinseau, and has the tallest minaret in the world, with its 200 metres. (photos from Wikipédia)
Some photos in Al Jadida (La Cité Portugaise).
